Available in sky-pointing and standing/nesting postures.
Audubon’s Seabird Restoration Program in cooperation
with Hawaii Division of Forestry and Wildlife and US Fish
and Wildlife Service began using decoys in 1993 in a project
designed to attract Laysan Albatross to Kaohikaipu Island.
The Albatross had attempted to nest on Oahu, but were mostly
unsuccessful due to feral dog and cat predation. Their attempts
to nest on airport runways were also creating a hazard. (Source:
